Adriana and Brad invited the family over for BBQ Ribs, Corn Bread, Salad, Green Bean Casserole, Baked Potatoes, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, and Birthday Cake!  A beautiful dinner to celebrate Benjamin's third birthday, which was December 23, and Kaya's eighth birthday, which will be on December 31.

FLEEING THE COLD

Winter arrived early!  These huge icicles are right outside my bedroom window.  Heavy snow fell in late November and took the temperatures way down.  Roads have been too treacherous for driving and most area schools had to close for several days.

The frosty weather will not be missed by the Lomans.
 They headed to San Diego for fun in the sun.
This trip is their Christmas gift to Lizzie and Gracie.

For the last several years, we and several of our friends have purchased a special dinner in the "upper room" of
Canyon Crest restaurant at a fund-raising auction.  It's become a fun tradition to schedule the dinner for the holidays...and a very special way to kick off the holiday season!
